Take action for nature as an individual
There are many ways you can take action for wildlife and play your part in nature’s recovery. From making changes in your own home or garden to make it more wildlife friendly, to volunteering and helping with practical conservation tasks on our nature reserves. You can also have your say and campaign on national and local issues and for a wilder Dorset. Your support is more important than ever before.
Take action as an individual today. Here are just some of the ways you can help.
Wildlife gardening
However large or small, the way you choose to care for your garden or outside space really matters. Collectively they’re stepping stones across our towns and villages – key in helping nature recover as they help wildlife find food, shelter and places to breed. You can also find out how to apply for a Wildlife-friendly Space Award.
Volunteering
Our volunteers come from all walks of life, with a range of skills and experience. Whether you’re looking for office-based or outdoor opportunities, volunteer with us and help create a Dorset rich in wildlife for everyone to enjoy and help nature recover.
Campaigning
We campaign for a wilder future, and work to influence policy and planning outcomes so that everyone can benefit from and enjoy wildlife. As one of 46 local independent Wildlife Trusts that make up The Wildlife Trusts, we have a long history of campaigning for positive change for nature and people.
