About the event

Join us for a guided bird walk to spot some of the winter birds found along Chesil Beach and Fleet Lagoon.

Chesil Beach and Fleet Lagoon are internationally important areas for nature conservation, supporting a diverse range of wildlife and their associated habitats.

Throughout the guided walk, we will aim to spot as many species of birds as possible. Following a falling tide offers the best chance to see many of our waders, including sanderling and ringed plover. There will be plenty of time to ask questions, and more information about the nature reserve will be provided throughout the walk.

The walk will start at 8am and will last approximately 1.5 hours. Please aim to arrive five to ten minutes before the start time.

Please bring binoculars with you, and if you have a telescope, that may be useful too. We do have a very limited number of binoculars available to borrow, and there will also be a telescope for use.

This event is suitable for beginners to birdwatching and for families, but all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
