iSupplyEnergy, based in Bournemouth, aims to donate £25,000 by signing up 1,000 new customers by the end of March 2020. Local residents can switch to any of the company’s energy plans, which include 100% renewably generated electricity as standard. Its longer-term energy plans also include 100% carbon neutral gas, where emissions from gas use are offset by investments in carbon reduction projects.

While the £25,000 fundraising offer started on 21 October, iSupplyEnergy’s relationship with Dorset Wildlife Trust began earlier in the month, with a volunteering day on Brownsea Island. The BH postcode includes Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole, as well as Purbeck, Wimborne, and Ringwood. Money donated by the company will be ring-fenced to the Trust’s BH postcode nature reserves, for example improving accessibility on Brownsea Island as part of the ‘Wild Brownsea’ project.
