I was privileged to be able to be a volunteer at the start of the Skylarks project. It was my way of “pay back” for all the time I had used Skylarks Nature Reserve before Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust had bought it. Nature, conservation and camaraderie; what is not to like? I am no longer able to do heavy work but that does not stop me visiting my haven of peace and tranquillity for which I am extremely grateful.
