Protecting wildlife where you live

Help make the 2020s a decade of transformation for nature by joining over 27,000 other members fighting to make Dorset wilder.

Your membership will not only help to conserve the wildlife at 40 nature reserves but also support important educational and conservation work with communities, farmers, landowners, businesses and local authorities.

You'll receive a membership magazine three times a year full of wildlife and conservation news, articles and things to do, plus a comprehensive guide to our nature reserves. And, if you opt for a family membership, you'll also receive Wildlife Watch, our wildlife magazine for children, four times a year.

Gifting someone with a membership?

Please place your order before 11am on Tuesday 17 December 2024 to ensure your items are posted before Christmas. We’ll resume processing orders week commencing Monday 6 January 2025.

The Dorset Wildlife Trust office will be closed from 3pm on Friday 20 December until 9am on Thursday 2 January 2025. We will not be able to respond to any emails or phone calls during this period of Christmas closure.

Wishing you a very happy Christmas, from the team at Dorset Wildlife Trust.

How you'll be helping

Your support will help to make more space for nature on nature reserves, farms, parks, gardens and even road verges - we're aiming for 30% of Dorset's land and sea to be managed for the benefit of nature by 2030.

By visibly taking action, you'll also inspire and empower other people in Dorset to take action for nature - we need 25% of the population to take action in order for Dorset's nature to recover.

What you'll receive

Your exclusive membership magazine, Dorset Wildlife, 3 times a year by post or online, that includes information about events, including guided walks, talks and much more.

A comprehensive guide to all 40 of our nature reserves. These safe havens for local wildlife are free for you to visit all year round.

Family members also receive our Wildlife Watch magazine for children four times a year, a Wildlife Watcher's Handbook, a membership card, badge, poster and stickers and access to fun family wildlife events.
